Mushekwi wants Europe stay

Cape Town - Zimbabwean striker Nyasha Mushekwi is keen to remain in Europe with Djurgardens beyond the end of his loan deal, which ends in November.

The Mamelodi Sundowns forward has flourished during his time in Sweden, topping the goal-scoring charts in Allsvenskan last term with 10 goals.

The 27-year-old has reportedly garnered the interests of a number of clubs in Germany, France and Holland, but Mushekwi's agent, Ralph Nkomo, says that despite his client's wishes, it will be up to Sundowns to decide the next move.

"Nyasha's heart is in Europe, there is no doubt about that. He has settled in very well in Sweden and is enjoying his football more than ever," Nkomo is quoted as saying by KickOff.

"Ideally, he would like to stay in Europe but all this depends on Sundowns. Yes, there is interest from a number of clubs but this is not the time to be talking about the actual teams that have enquired about him.

"Everything will become clear soon after the Swedish season ends but it is really up to Sundowns to decide whether or not they will consider offers from other clubs."
