Mushekwi attracting Euro interest

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns outcast, Nyasha Mushekwi, has earned interest from European clubs after an impressive season on loan at Djurgardens in Sweden.

Mushekwi, who’s still contracted to Sundowns, is hoping to secure a permanent transfer away from the Chloorkop-based outfit.

With 10 goals in the Swedish Allsvenskan with 10 goals, the Zimbabwean international is the league’s top goal scorer.

"Nyasha still has another season left with us according to his contract, but we do not stand in the way of our players," Sundowns communications coordinator Thulani Thuswa told KickOff.

"I cannot reveal the names of the clubs, but I can tell you that there has been a lot of interest in his services from a number of teams that are playing in countries such as Holland, France and Germany.

"You may also know that the club he is playing for at the moment has also expressed interest in acquiring him so we really do not know where he might end up. What we only want is an arrangement that makes the player happy."
