Mulenga with Zesco United

Cape Town - Zesco United public relations officer Katebe Chengo confirmed that former PSL player Clifford Mulenga is back in Zambia.

The player has signed for United but whether the deal is permanent or loan spell remains unknown.

Mulenga, who has played for Bidvest Wits and SuperSport United was released by Ajax Cape Town after a disappointing 2014/15 season.

According to the Zambian Times website the Zambian midfielder is a free agent and the negotiations are still going on.

"Yes, I can confirm that Clifford is now with us [Zesco] but I am not in a position to say whether it’s a permanent or loan deal," Chengo said.

"As you know Clifford is a free agent and released by Ajax and negotiations are still going on."

The report suggest that Mulenga was introduced during yesterday’s morning training session at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
