Cape Town - University of Pretoria head coach Sammy Troughton believes Denver Mukamba could become an increasingly important player for the Tshwane side.
Mukamba, who is on loan at AmaTuks from Bidvest Wits, scored the winning goal during Tuesday’s 2-1 victory over Chippa United.
While speaking highly of the 22-year-old’s ability, Troughton feels the player still has some way to go to realise his full potential, also explaining why he substituted Mukamba just a few minutes after he scored.
"I thought he did really well in the first half. Sometimes the lad, he is still a youngster, he lacks concentration and focus," Troughton was quoted as saying by the MTNfootball website.
"Second-half he seemed to be all over the place, before he had scored we had decided to take him off so at least he left the field on a positive.
"He took his goal very well and Denver is someone we will work with. He can be a match winner which he was...but that concentration levels and a little bit of inexperience, knowing how to play to his strengths, is something we need to work on."
