Mpontshane wants loan move

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Siyabonga Mpontshane is in search of more game time and wants to be loaned out, according to reports.

Mpontshane finds himself being third fiddle to Felipe Ovono, whom Pirates signed during the off-season, and the injured Brighton Mhlongo.

Reports suggest that the ‘keeper was likely to be sent out on loan ahead of the new campaign kick-off but sent out Philani Zikalala to Golden Arrows instead.

“He just wants to be loaned out. He was supposed to have moved this past transfer window, but will now try to move out in January,” an unnamed source told Soccer Laduma.

“He has lost his place in the national team and he wants to keep on playing so that he can have a chance of being called up to the national team again.”
