Mphela training with AmaTuks

Cape Town - University of Pretoria are still weighing up their options regarding a potential deal for former Kaizer Chiefs striker Katlego Mphela, who is training with the team.

With a record of 81 goals in 222 appearances in the Absa Premiership, the once prolific marksman is looking to revive his career at AmaTuks after departing Kaizer Chiefs at the beginning of June.

The 30-year-old has found himself in the wilderness after Amakhosi paid him out of his contract, which still had one year remaining.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United goal-poacher's agent, Glyn Binkin, told KickOff: "He's been training and nothing has happened yet. Maybe in the next few days."
