Johannesburg - Katlego Mphela added another two goals to his tally for the season on Saturday afternoon and warned defenders to expect more.
The Mamelodi Sundowns attacker, who returned from a self-imposed exile in the middle of February, has now netted four times in the last three fixtures.
He was named Man of the Match in the exciting 3-2 victory over Golden Arrows at Lucas Moripe Stadium and is looking to give Knowledge Musona, who also has 11 league goals this season, some healthy competition at the top of the Golden Boot table.
After his double against Abafana Bes'thende, 'Killer' said: "I am feeling good and I am happy to be sharpening my match fitness.
"I plan to keep scoring and to still get my best fitness back. The performance was good and hopefully there can be more like that from me."
The Brazilians conceded two goals at the death to set up a tense finish and Mphela believes this was due to lapse in focus by the back four.
"The problem is our defenders lose concentration at the end of the match and we have to fix this."
Sundowns are now third in the standings, three points adrift of league-leaders Orlando Pirates.
They have recorded three victories on the spin and while caretaker coach Ian Gorowa is happy they have clawed their way back into the title race, he was disgruntled by their late scare against Arrows.
"The application today(Saturday) from the players wasn't professional especially as we were three goals up. I will have a word with them because that was not acceptable," he said.
Gorowa was pleased with the number of chances his side created though and revealed their current run will add some drama at the finish line of the PSL title race.
