According to club's official website, Baxter sang praises for his gallant team following a 3-0 demolition of Swallows on Wednesday night.
"I wouldn't have liked to come out again and say we played well but didn't score goals," insists a visibly happy Baxter.
"We scored goals today and that's what the doctor ordered. I was really pleased we the way the players approached the game. In this circumstance where you play a dangerous opponent, you really have to work hard.
"Swallows were a constant threat. At one stage I was worried, at 1-0, thinking they can equalize in these conditions.”
Mphela, George Lebese and Bernard Parker were involved in the three goals.
Baxter admits that the former Mamelodi Sundowns striker is not 100% but says Killer has been training really hard.
"Killer (Mphela) is not yet sharp. He is in a process of regaining his sharpness. I'm pleased because he is working hard at training and he is getting into good scoring positions," comments Baxter.
The win consolidated Chiefs lead on top of the log with 54 points after 24 matches played.
"Football season is long. What's important is when the last whistle is blown at the end of the season," concludes Baxter.
