Johannesburg - Katlego Mphela has issued an impassioned plea to Mamelodi Sundowns to allow him to further his career abroad.
The forward has not attended training since Monday in a bid to force the club's hand after they turned down a bid of just over R12m from Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade.
He has since admitted his behaviour has not been the most professional, but that it his last attempt at convincing the Brazilians to allow him to return to European shores.
"It is true that I have missed training since Monday, and perhaps I could have dealt with things differently," he told the Sowetan.
"But different people deal with different issues in different ways and for me I could no longer stomach the frustrations. For the past two years the club has received numerous written offers and enquiries from European clubs who would like to contract me, yet they turn down these offers and tell me that they will let me go in the next transfer window, which is once again what they are doing now.
"How can I trust them when history has shown me that they say one thing and do something else."
Mphela further revealed why he chose to put pen to paper on a new three-year-deal with Sundowns, despite wanting to leave the club.
"I had signed a contract extension in August last year but did so because I was once again assured that should the club receive a reasonable offer they would allow me to go abroad," he explained.
"My agent Glyn Binkin recommended that I do go to training, but. I find that it is very difficult for me to go to training and be around the club when I'm not happy with the way I'm being treated by them and in particular the manner in which they are dealing with my aspirations to go abroad and further my career."
Binkin, meanwhile, has admitted his disappointment at the Brazilians' comments about him.
He said: "It's sad to hear that is how they feel as I have several other players at the club, some of whom play regularly. Sundowns will always be in the market for good players - by alienating themselves from me they are prejudicing themselves."
Reports suggest Mphela will only return to the club when he is offered showdown talks with club owner and President Patrice Motsepe.
