Mphela: Ajax will be tough

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns and Ajax Cape Town are both chasing the PSL league title this season. The two teams come face-to-face on Wednesday night at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, where Sundowns will host their counterparts.

Sundowns’ striker, Katlego "Killer" Mphela, believes the Brazilians have what it takes to overcome a youthful Ajax team. The Chloorkop-based side currently trail Ajax by two points at the top of the log and the winner of the game will go top of the table.

"You know they have Thulani Serero. He is a very good player but you should remember others like Billiat and Maluleke who have been scoring goals as well. We will however not be looking at individual players as we are playing against the whole team. As for me my focus is not just on scoring but also creating for the others to score.

“All of us want to win this game and overtake them on top with one point. But as I said it will be tough but we have to win it and maintain our good run in the past league games," Mphela concluded.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
