Cape Town - Orlando Pirates legend Edward Motale says that the match against Chippa United will be difficult for the boys, especially after Chippa drew 1-1 against Kaizer Chiefs.
Motale told Sport24 that the Chilli Boys have more than enough confidence to face the Buccaneers and won't budge without a fight to prove a point.
“I think it’s going to be a difficult match for Pirates tomorrow. Chippa just drew with Chiefs where they nearly smashed 3 points,” Motale said.
“That itself is a huge confidence boost for the Chilli Boys. I really think they will come blazing especially after that draw, which was something for them.
“They still have that confidence lingering on them and they have the mentality to beat Pirates. Pirates have really been going through a bad spell.
The Pirates legend said that coach Eric Tinkler is likely to be coming up with another strategy to keep the team motivated and avoid any negativity.
“I think Coach Tinkler is working on another tactic to motivate the boys.
“It’s not all over for them, they are not throwing the towel as yet and I don’t think they want to lose right now especially to Chippa because that will throw them over completely.
The 49-year-old also spoke positively of the Buccaneers overall performance and stressed the minor areas they have to fix and wished them all the best as the season progresses.
“Overall they have been playing well, just a few errors they need to fix especially at the back there. I really wish them all the best.
Orlando Pirates will face Chippa United at the Orlando stadium on Tuesday, August 18.
Kick-off is set for 19:30.
