Pitso not rushing decisions

Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns boss Pitso Mosimane says he has yet to decide the final make-up of his squad for the coming Premier Soccer League season.

According to the Football411 website, Mosimane took 40 players with him to Cape Town last week for pre-season clashes against Moroka Swallows and Ajax Cape Town, a squad which included 11 new faces.

With the defending league champions set to get their 2014/15 campaign underway later this week with an MTN8 clash against Platinum Stars, Mosimane will soon need to determine which players are part of his plans and which are not.

However, the former Bafana Bafana boss says he will be waiting until the transfer window closes at the end of August before making final decisions on his playing personnel.

“We are still in preseason and we are still in a process of making analysis,” Mosimane said.

“We will make a decision on who do we really have to sign and retain, we still have a time before the transfer window closes, if you remember it closes in the 30th of August so there’s still time for us to finalise the team.

“Those that are already here, those who are been here and are around, they are going to play the Top-8, but we are in no rush to finalise the team.”

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
