Mosimane keeping 'Downs calm

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane called for his team to keep their feet on the ground after registering their fourth win in five Absa Premiership matches.

The club extending their unbeaten run in all competitions to seven games with the 3-0 thrashing of Maritzburg United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, courtesy of goals from Themba Zwane, Tebogo Langerman and Surprise Moriri.

The run has moved Sundowns to second in the Premiership table, just a point behind this season's surprise package Platinum Stars, and a place in the Telkom Knockout semi-finals against SuperSport United.

"To score three goals is good, especially keeping zero behind. I think it's the third or fourth game we've kept a clean sheet, and it looks good," Mosimane told The Sowetan.

"I'm happy if we remain third, and Mpumalanga Black Aces, Platinum Stars and Wits can lead us because it's only nine games played. So it's OK to leave it for now.

"I think it's temporary. I think Wits have got quality and Platinum have games in hand. So we should not be too excited. But it's OK."
