Mosimane in confident mood

Johannesburg - With three games remaining in their campaign for a top-eight finish in the league table, Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is confident his charges can do the job.

The Brazilians face log-bottom Black Leopards in an Absa Premiership clash in Polokwane on Tuesday.

“When we look at the log we are not too far,” Mosimane told kickoff.com.

“But I think we can win all the games. I mean, why not?”

After a win in their previous match against a strong Free State Stars side, Sundowns were in 11th spot on the log ahead of the lone midweek fixture.

“I think the game against Free State Stars was a more difficult game," Mosimane said.

"This game was more difficult than the one against Bloemfontein Celtic."

Mosimane believed Sundowns were failing to take their chances during matches, and the responsibility would lie with the strikers up front.

The Tshwane side have scored just three goals in their previous four league games.

“We are not winning easily and enough," he said.

"As long as we take our opportunities and our chances, we can do better.”

Leopards, meanwhile, were languishing at the bottom of the table after collecting points in just one of their last six league encounters, when they beat fellow relegation candidates Ajax Cape Town last month.

Leopards will be desperate for a full bag of points in an effort to lift themselves clear of the relegation zone before the end of the season.
