Morris putting in the extra work

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town’s young striker, Tashreeq Morris, appears to be making fast progress with his rehabilitation from what initially looked to be a bad knee injury.

Morris suffered the injury in the last week of the 2014/15 season during the Nedbank Cup final and it was believed that he would be out for most of the rest of the year.

The 21-year-old striker spoke to the official website of Ajax Cape Town and revealed the good news:

“They say the operation went well,” he began.

“I started getting treatment the day after I came out of hospital.

“I’ve been getting rehab treatment at Ikamva everyday now and I also do some training at home on my own.

“I’ve been given a program to follow and I am sticking to it, so my progress is going very well.”

Morris had a great break-out season last year and picked up the Nedbank Cup young player of the tournament award after weighing in with three goals.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
