Moriri tips Wits to beat 'Downs

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns veteran Surprise Moriri says that Bidvest Wits will definitely win when the two rivals clash in the PSL league game on Saturday.

The midfielder says coach Gavin Hunt’s team is very physical and always go out to dominate the field in every game they play, and feels Wits’ defender Thulani Hlatshwayo will give the Downs’ trouble.

“Wits are definitely going to win for sure. Gavin Hunt is coming in strong this season with all these players he has signed,” he told Sport24.

“Hunt has a strong, physical team who will dominate Sundowns. These boys are going to have to work very hard to block them from scoring goals.

“In my opinion that player Thulani Hlatshwayo will cause trouble on the field.

“I am just going to say sorry to the Sundowns fans in advance because Hunt’s boys are on fire this season.

“Everyone knows what he always has up his sleeve when he goes out there.

Mamelodi Sundowns take on The Clever Boys at the Lucas Moripe stadium on Saturday, August 22.

Kick-off is set for 15:00.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
