Cape Town - Amid concerns Mpumalanga Black Aces will lodge a protest, University of Pretoria captain, Tebogo Monyai, has explained why two players were missing from their bench on Sunday.

AmaTuks beat Aces 2-1 at the Tuks Stadium at the weekend, but two players listed on their teamsheet, Ronald Ketjijere and Grant Kekana, were not present at the game.
As it turned out, neither player was available for the game because they were playing for Tuks' reserve team in the Diski Challenge final against Mamelodi Sundowns in Soweto on the same day.
Monyai explained that, because the final went into extra time and penalties, which Tuks won, the pair were unable to make it to the Premiership game in time.
"There were issues raised by Aces and they wanted to lodge a protest," Monyai told KickOff.
"We have a small squad and the arrangement was that both Ronald and Grant Kekana will join us after the MultiChoice Diski final, but that game went to extra time.
"Yes there were on the team list but ended up not sitting on the bench," he explained.
