With three fixtures left in their league campaign and nine points at stake, Mamelodi Sundowns are targeting a top eight finish.
Currently sat in 11th place on the Absa Premiership table, with 32 points, the Chloorkop-based side is hoping to salvage their lackluster campaign and secure a spot in next season’s MTN8.
Tonight Sundowns take on bottom of the log outfit Black Leopards in a catch-up game at the Peter Mokaba Stadium and Teko Modise is hoping that the team take their winning mentality from their recent 2-1 win over Free State Stars into the game.
“We are aware of how important these remaining games are and we have to finish on a high note starting with Leopards. We have won our last game very well and that was good for the team and everyone at Sundowns.
“We will continue with the same fighting spirit and finish with three wins in the remaining three games,” Modise explained.
Coach Pitso Mosimane and his charges will face Orlando Pirates and Wits in their last two league outings, after tonight’s game.
