Modise is 'pure class'

Johannesburg - Orlando Pirates new recruit Mark Mayambela has come out in support for under-fire team-mate Teko Modise.
Modise, who played no part in Bucs' MTN8 triumph this past weekend, has struggled for form since last year's Confederations Cup.
The two-time PSL Footballer of the Year also recently suffered the indignity of being booed by some of his club's fans after an average display against Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 semis.
Nevertheless, Mayambela rates the Bafana Bafana star highly.
"As for my favourite players - locally, I am a big fan and admire my team-mate Teko 'The General' Modise," he told his club's official website.
"Despite all the negative comments surrounding him recently, I think he is a great player.
"It's only a matter of time before he bounces back to his best. Remember form is temporary but class is permanent. In my opinion, Teko Modise is pure class!"
Mayambela added that he is determined to win a regular starting place at Pirates following his move from Bloemfontein Celtic in the off-season.
"I will remain patient until I get my chance in the team," said the exciting midfielder.
"The good thing is that at least I can make the bench on a regular basis, which is motivating enough.
"It will be very unprofessional of me to run to the media and complain about game time.
"That's not an option and will not solve the problem; instead, I will keep working hard until I get my chance."
He continued: "Some people were against my move to Pirates. However, I saw this as a challenge and I am glad that my family supported my decision.
"And now they are very proud of me as I have marked my name in the history books of the club by being part of the squad that has brought happiness to our supporters in the form of the MTN8 trophy."
