Middendorp waiting on work permit

Cape Town - Themba Sithole is currently overseeing things at Free State Stars until new coach Ernst Middendorp get his work permit to start working at Ea Lla Koto following the sacking of Kinnah Phiri.

A source at the club told Sport24 that Sithole, who has held different roles at Ea Lla Koto will not work with the incoming technical team and is just in charge until Middendorp gets his work permit.

“Sithole has also been axed and is likely to go back and work with the development, but he is now overlooking things until the new coach arrives,” the source said.

“I can tell you that management has sacked all the previous technical team under Phiri and the new coach will bring his own people.

“The club wanted a coach who can install discipline and the work ethic into the players and Middendorp was the best candidate."
