Mhone aims for top PSL award

Cape Town - New Jomo Cosmos signing from Malawi, Micium Mhone, has told Sport24 that he wants to become the Absa Premiership top goal scorer in his first season in South Africa.

The former Blue Eagles midfielder says that he knows that it is not easy in the PSL but he is ready for the challenge ahead.

The Malawi national team player, who impressed Cosmos during the COSAFA Cup in May, had a good game on Sunday in the Charity Showdown tournament says that he will continue to work hard.

"My countrymen have been at Cosmos before and they did very well," Mhone said.

"Esau Kanyenda was here and he scored goals and that's why I want to be the top goal scorer in South Africa in my first season.

"But it doesn't come easy and I am ready for the challenge.

"I want to do my best and be the top goal scorer."
