Rustenburg - Veteran Platinum Stars defender Benson Mhlongo hailed his team-mates for their tremendous achievements this season.
Dikwena walked away with a cup double, claiming the MTN8 competition and the Telkom Knockout in the early stages of the campaign, upsetting Orlando Pirates in the final of both tournaments.
"We had a great season as a team," the 33-year-old Mhlongo told Sport24 in an exclusive interview.
"We are the only team in the PSL that won two trophies.
"I'm satisfied with our achievements for the season."
"Mayanga" also said although the North West Province Tycoons won the most silverware this season, it was a much tougher campaign compared to the previous one due to the competition within the PSL.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits man also revealed his team's ambitions for the upcoming season.
"It was a tough season. Everyone can see that every team has improved and there is no such thing called a small team in the PSL anymore.
"Next season we want to try and contest for the league title as we did two years ago.
"I know it's not going to be an easy task but it's worth a try," added Mhlongo.
Stars narrowly escaped from the bottom half of the table, finishing in eighth spot after defeating Ajax Cape Town, 3-0, last Saturday courtesy of Mogakolodi Ngele, Robert Ng'ambi and Mduduzi Nyanda strikes.
Their top eight finish handed them an opportunity to defend their MTN8 title next season.
