Cape Town - Following his short spell at the newly promoted Mpumalanga Black Aces, former Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Mark Mayambela is currently in Sweden having trials with Allsvenskan side, Djurgardens IF.
The “Professor” was offloaded to Amazayoni by Orlando Pirates during the off-season but his contract was terminated by the PSL rookies for disciplinary reasons.
Mayambela, 26, alongside his former team-mate, Mkhanyiseli Siwahla, was reported to have arrived at training under the influence of alcohol, behaviour which the club did not tolerate.
Amid those speculations, the skilful left-footer told the Soccer-Laduma website that he has never had a drinking problem and he never went to the training ground under the influence.
Mayambela spent the past three seasons at Pirates after joining them from Celtic back in July 2010.
