Mayambela amped for PSL return

Cape Town - Chippa United revealed Mark Mayambela as one of their new signings at a press conference and the skilful forward has told Sport24 that he can’t wait to get going.

After returning home from a spell in Sweden with Djurgardens where the fans loved him, ‘Professor’ signed a short term deal with Royal Eagles in the NFD.

His desire to return to the PSL saw him secure a deal with Chippa United.

“I’m super excited and I can’t wait to don the Chippa jersey,” he said.

Asked about his hopes for the upcoming season he said that he would just take things as they come and he took the time to mention a number of new teammates that looks forward to working with.

“At the moment it’s still early for me to set any goals.

"All I want for now is to take each day, each training, each practice game and of course each official game as they come, to sharpen my game even more and become a better player.

“One of the good things about me, is that it doesn’t take me much time to adapt, and I have played with some of the players like (Mbuhuyiselo) Sambu, (Ruben) Cloete and played against players like (Philani) Shange.

"I think playing alongside guys like (Andile) Mbenyane, (Edward) Manqele and (Joseph) Molongoane will be great."
