Mayambela: Royal Eagles will rise soon

Cape Town - Mark Mayambela played for NFD side, Royal Eagles, last season and he believes that it is a club for the future due to its ‘financial muscle’.

‘Professor’ somewhat surprisingly joined the second tier team on a short-term contract last season after he returned from an injury plagued spell in Sweden.

He struggled to find fitness until very late in the season with Eagles but in his short time at the KZN-based side he could tell that it was a club on the rise.

“I started this year on a low as I had two opportunities to trial abroad, but I sustained an injury that stopped me from playing for two months, but I managed to heal and played the last four games of the season.

“Yes, Royal Eagles is a very ambitious side and with very powerful financial muscle.

“It’s a team for the future, with the right personnel in charge,” Mayambela believes.
