Cape Town - Mpumalanga Black Aces midfielder Mpho Matsi has implored his team-mates to maintain the level of focus shown in their PSL victory against Free State Stars.
AmaZayoni opened their league campaign with a 1-0 win against Ea Lla Koto at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, where a few new faces made their Aces debuts, including hard-running enforcer Matsi and defender Ashraf Hendricks.
The win away from home was a positive start for Matsi for his new life in Mpumalanga, having joined in the off-season from University of Pretoria.
"It's a new start for many of the people here at the club including the coach so there is a lot of work to be done," Matsi told Football411.
"It was a good way to start my life in a different environment after so many years at one team (AmaTuks).
"I think I will enjoy playing under coach Muhsin because believes in a strong defence that allows the attackers to go forward.
"My job is to make sure that we win loose balls so that we can go forward by winning the ball."
