Johannesburg - Orlando Pirates have announced that left-back Thabo Matlaba is set to resume training on Tuesday following his recovery from an ankle injury.
According to the club's official website, Matlaba will start light training at the club's Mayfair training grounds.
The Buccanneers have confirmed that the club's medical staff have given Matlaba the all clear to start full training on Wednesday, ahead of their clash against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.
Matlaba sustained the injury during Pirates' 1-0 defeat against Black Aces at the beginning of the month.
Meanwhile, winger Tlou Segolela who sustained a light knock to his thigh over the weekend, completed Monday's session.
“I got the knock in the first few minutes of the game, but it is not bad. I should be fine in the next few days,” said Segolela.
