The 22-year-old impressed when given the chance last term, netting four goals in his four Premiership outings, with one of those strikes eventually earning him the PSL Goal of the Season award.
Masuku has also skyrocketed to the top of the Carling Black Label Cup voting, and he is now hoping to press on in the new campaign.
"I'm hoping to get more game-time and also get more silverware for the club and be part of the starting eleven more often," Masuku told KickOff.
"I will love to continue playing like this way but it will depend on myself on how hard I work at training and also stay focused, be level-headed and know what I want in life."
The forward is, however, under no illusions as to the task he faces in cementing a place in the first team, adding: "At a team like Pirates, it's never easy to just arrive and get in the starting line-up.
"You must be patient at all times and be humble and work hard as a player. You know, as a player you set yourself goals and I was always patient and waiting for my chance to come."
