Masuku: We expect a tough game

Cape Town - Menzi Masuku says Orlando Pirates are determined to claim three points in the season opener against SuperSport United.

Erik Tinkler's men lock horns with the Swanky Boys in Polokwane as they look to secure a repeat of 4-1 win over the same opponents last season.

Masuku picked up the Man-of-the-Match award on the day, following a breakthrough performance that saw him bag two goals.

Looking ahead to Absa Premiership encounter, Masuku told the club's official website: "I am happy with the direction my game is going.

"Although the league is a marathon and not a sprint, we still would like to start the season well by registering a win on Wednesday night.

"We have respect for our opposition but we will go into this game with one mission and that is to collect three points."

Pirates coach Eric Tinkler has admitted he expects a stern test from Gordon Igesund's side, but is targeting a three-point haul nonetheless.

He said: "Matches against SuperSport United have never been easy. We expect a tough game against them but we go to Polokwane looking to start the season on a good footing."
