Masinga impressed by Lebese

Cape Town - Legendary Bafana Bafana striker Phil Masinga said he has been impressed with a number of players in the current Kaizer Chiefs squad.

Masinga said that George Lebese, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Eric Mathoho are some of the players who have been impressing on the field and said Mathoho has been doing a fantastic job at the back, and never stops working.

The veteran insisted that he would like to see defender Siyanda Xulu show more of his potential as he would like to see his ability as a player.

"George Lebese has really been in good form and he has impressed me a lot," he told Sport24.

"Shabba is always an obvious choice, Letsholonyane, Mathoho the big man at the back who has been doing a fantastic job and never stops working that young man and I hope he grows in the team.

"I would also like to see Siyanda Xulu step up to the plate, he has so much potential and I would like to see him really show us his abilities as a player.

"I understand he played in Europe for a little while and one needs to adapt, but this is Chiefs and for me I know he has so much potential."
