Cape Town - SuperSport United coach Gordon Igesund admits that the situation surrounding Tsepo Masilela has put him in a pickle.
The Kaizer Chiefs left-back might have to sit out for a few weeks as he failed to honour his Bafana Bafana call-up with a possible suspension. The defender also failed to show up for his medical assessment by national team doctors as Amakhosi ruled the defender out injured.
Meanwhile, the Glamour Boys are set to face United in a Absa Premiership encounter on Saturday, September 12 and Igesund is two-minded about his opponents and which players they are going to field.
“When I plan to play against a certain team, nine times out of 10 I know exactly how they going to play,” Igesund said as quoted by KickOff.
“But there is a lot of speculation at the moment about Tsepo Masilela, whether action will be taken against him and whether he will play or not.
“We have to wait for match-day and see what team shows up. If any action is taken against a certain player it’s not my business really, but as far as planning is concerned Masilela is a decent player going forward … he’s dangerous. If he is playing we must make sure we stop him.”
Kick-off is at 18:00.
