“We want to see our supporters celebrating,” said the 29-year old defender to Amakhosi’s website.

The left-back is happy to do his bit for team and is not chasing personal accolades.

“The team always comes first. If the team wins, I am happy.”

The final on Saturday, September 20 will be Masilela’s second appearance in a final after Masilela featured in the the 2013 Nedbank Cup final that Chiefs won.

Remarkably, that final was also played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The 2012/13 season was a fine one for Chiefs as the side were also crowned Absa Premiership winners.

When asked about former Orlando Pirates coach Roger de Sa’s comments that the Buccaneers will surely win, Masilela reacting calmly: “I never react to statements or opinions of other coaches."

"We are ready and feeling confident.

"That’s all that matters.” said Masilela, drawing a line under de Sa's comments.

“We want to taste again that feeling of winning another trophy. And when that happens, we want to do it over and over again.

The MTN8 Final between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates kicks off at 20:15.
