Masenamela: I'll be back soon

Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns left back Punch Masenamela has missed out on a place in the Bafana Bafana Afcon 2013 squad due to a knee injury that he suffered late last year.

According to the snl24.com/soccerladuma website, however, he believes that everything happens for a reason and he is currently working his way back into the Sundowns team.

He told the Siya crew that he feels like the injury is healing very well and he will be back soon.

"I had an operation on my knee and I think that it has started healing faster than I thought," he said.

"I am also just taking it easy with my exercises so that it can heal perfectly. I want to be back soon and help the team.

"We all want to be there in these times at the team and I am positive that I will be back very soon. I think the break will also help me with my healing. I will be back soon," the former Kaizer Chiefs defender concluded.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
