Masango relishing Danish league

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana midfielder Mandla Masango believes his quick-feet make him a tough proposition for defenders in the Danish Superliga.

The nifty Masango scored on his debut for Randers FC in their 2-0 win over Aalborg BK on Sunday.

The former Kaizer Chiefs dangerman has already built a great rapport with English-coach Clive Tood.

"I'm enjoying myself there. The coach always tells me that I must play in between the lines and use my speed and skill, so every time the midfield has the ball I must try and make deep runs," Masango told KickOff.

"The league is physical, the guys are big, so I'll kill them with my speed and my technique."

Masango is in camp with the Bafana squad to take on Mauritania in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on September 5.

"It's an honour to represent South Africa, you know, at international level it's every player's dream, so I'm enjoying myself here and that side as well.

"I'm very happy that I got a call-up and I'm here to try and help the team going forward."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
