Moroka Swallows’ relegation to the National First Division will surely mean that some of their players will be looking to jump ship, especially those who are only accustomed to life in the PSL.
Marques will be hoping to add quality and PSL experience to his exciting Black Leopards squad if they are to emerge victorious from the playoffs.
There is only one playoff game left between Jomo Cosmos and Swallows. A win for Ezenkosi will secure Jomo Sono’s side promotion but any other result from the game on Wednesday evening will see Lidoda Duvha make the jump.
Soccer Laduma has reported that sources close to Leopards have revealed that Birds players such as Lantshane Phalane, Lucky Baloyi and Siyabonga Nomvethe could well be targets for the Thohoyandou side.
They also reveal that Swallows players such as Luvhengo ‘Papi’ Mungomeni, Lerato Chabangu, Greg Etafia and Nomvethe all have contracts that expire this month.
Former Swallows coach, Zeca Marques, will surely be keeping a close eye on their contract situations as he would be keen to work with familiar faces and experienced stars if he does indeed gain promotion.
