Maritzburg will be prepared

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs are facing Maritzburg United in the quarter-finals of the MTN8 at the FNB Stadium, where former United coach Steve Komphela will be facing his former assistant Mandla Ncikazi.

Komphela told Sport24 that United won't be easy to play against mainly in this cup competition as they have nothing to lose.

"It's a tough game against Maritzburg," Komphela explained.

"They are coming here well prepared knowing that in a cup game there is no draw and also as they have nothing to lose and will be under no pressure.

"Chiefs are the defending champions and you know how it is when you have to defend the trophy you won, it's not easy at all.

"But I know Maritzburg and I know what they are capable of doing.  We are ready for them and we want a win."

Kick-off is at 19:30 on Wednesday, August 5.
