Maritzburg eye Swaziland 'keeper

Cape Town - After losing Shuib Walters to Mpumalanga Black Aces, Maritzburg United are now looking at bringing in Swaziland international goalkeeper Sandile Ginindza.

A source who knows the whole situation told Sport24 that the team has already approached the player's representative Colani Shongwe for the service of the goalkeeper.

The source said that the only stumbling block now is that another Swazi side, Mbabane Swallows, also want to sign the goalkeeper from Manzini Wanderers.

"There were other teams from South Africa who were interested in the goalkeeper but United are showing more interest as they have already opened talks with the player's representative," the source said.

"He was the goalkeeper who played for Mbabane Swallows when they beat Kaizer Chiefs in the Kings Super Cup.

"He is a good keeper and it would be a good catch for Maritzburg United."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
