Manyisa gets the Bucs

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates held an elegant player awards function on Wednesday in a bid to reward the players for their efforts after a long 2013/14 season.

The players and technical team personnel were rewarded for the efforts having played 53 matches, which included featuring in four finals including the CAF Champions League in Egypt, and culminated with the lifting of the Nedbank Cup.

There were seven categories in total and the winners were as follows:

Golden Glove winner - Senzo Meyiwa, who wins R30 000

Adidas Golden Boot - Lennox Bacela, who wins R30 000

Dstv Goal of the Season -Thabo Matlaba who wins R30 000

Vodacom Online Player Of The Season - Thabo Matlaba, who wins R50 000

Player Player of the Season - Oupa Manyisa, who wins R50 000

Chairman’s Award - Senzo Meyiwa and Oupa Manyisa, who shared R100 000

Vodacom Player of the Season - Oupa Manyisa, who wins R100 000

The Buccaneers battle it out for the Carling Black Label Cup against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday at 15:30 in front of a sold-out FNB Stadium.
