According to KickOff, Manqele’s agent, Josia Mphono has revealed that the striker will not become a Chilli Boy.

“Edward Manqele is still training and attending the (weight loss) programme set by Mamelodi Sundowns,” Mphono said.

With 19-days left of the transfer window Manqele has hinted loudly for a move away from Chloorkop during the off season.

Last week Sport24 reported that a deal to Chippa was not finalised after Sundowns confirmed via their website that Manqele’s move to the Chilli Boys has been completed.

Mphono conclude in saying, “That deal to Chippa is off and we are waiting for Sundowns to hear for a way forward.”

Meanwhile Sundowns are up against Ajax Cape Town at Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday, August 13.

Match is scheduled for kick-off at 19:30.
