Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns striker Cuthbert Malajila is confident he can win the Absa Premiership Golden Boot award this season.
The Zimbabwean hitman netted twice in the Brazilians' 4-2 win over Wits on Saturday and believes he should win the award for being the league's top marksman if he does his job properly.
"I want to score more," he told Goal website. "I want not just to do it for myself but for the team as well.
"Even if I don't score and the team wins then I am happy. But as a striker I have to score goals because that's my job.
"If I can do that and win the top goalscorer award then I would have done my job right."
Malajila fell just short of picking up the award last season after scoring 10 league goals and he is keen to better that record this term.
The 29-year-old, however, could add to his tally as Mpumalanga Black Aces secured a 1-0 victory over the Chloorkop side.
