Makola: Playing motivates me

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates midfielder Mpho Makola admits that the 'beautiful game' motivates him when he is given the chance to play.

Makola came off the bench to score two classic goals against Chippa United in a game that Buccaneers won 4-1 at Orlando Stadium.

"I always get motivated when I am given the chance to play,” Makola told Sport24

"I was happy that I was given the chance to play on Tuesday and I paid the coach back with the two goals.

"But above all, it was great team work which produced a great result for us.

"We are going to build on from here and look at more results like that one against Chippa."

Last season Makola featured in 25 league games for Pirates, scoring three goals.

The midfielder will be hoping his name will be on the starting XI this weekend as Pirates take on AC Leopards in CAF Confederation Cup Group B clash.

Kick-off is on Saturday, August 22 at 18:00.
