Cape Town - Following his request to leave the club in the current PSL transfer window period, Kaizer Chiefs' unsettled striker Lehlohonolo Majoro is currently training on his own at the Nike Football Centre in Soweto.
Majoro’s contract with the Amakhosi is due to expire at the end of June this year.
The 27-year-old forward was speculated to have penned a pre-contract with Orlando Pirates last week, but the move was dismissed by Happy People Administration Manager, Floyd Mbele.
Speaking exclusively to Sport24, a source close to the player confirmed Majoro's current situation.
“Majoro is currently not training with Kaizer Chiefs,” said the source.
“He has been training on his own recently, since the club decided that he will not feature for them again this season.
“He is still part of the team as he is contracted to them until June,” he added.
“Major” did not comment on the matter when contacted by Sport24 on Monday morning.
Majoro joined the Phefeni Glamour Boys from AmaZulu in July 2011.
The former Usuthu striker helped Chiefs win the ABSA Premiership and the Nedbank Cup last season.
