Cape Town - Lehlohonolo “Major” Majoro took part in his first training session as an Orlando Pirates player at the Rand Stadium on Thursday morning.

According to the Orlando Pirates website, Majoro who completed his move to the Mighty Buccaneers this week, joined his new team-mates for a spirited workout ahead of Saturday's Absa Premiership clash against Free State Stars.

Prior to his first training session, Majoro was presented in front of his new team-mates by the chairperson, Dr Irvin Khoza.

In his address, Khoza said: “I am pleased to welcome Lehlohonolo Majoro to the club and I am confident that he will make a positive contribution to the squad we currently have.”

Speaking after his presentation, the 27-year-old said: “I am pleased to have joined Orlando Pirates. This is a club with a rich and proud history. I want to tell the supporters that I will don this jersey with pride and I look forward to making them happy in everything I do.

“I am thankful to the chairperson for taking the time out of his busy schedule to introduce me to my new team-mates. I have a three-year contract and in that time I want to achieve great things with the team,” he concluded.

Majoro will don the No 45 on his jersey for the remainder of the 2013/14 season.
