Mahachi to face Amaglug-glug

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns Zimbabwean midfielder, Kudakwashe Mahachi, has been included in the Zimbabwe Under-23 national team that will play against South Africa in the Olympic Games qualifiers on Sunday in Harare.

Coach Callisto Pasuwa has put together a very strong team which also includes left back Marvelous Nakamba, who plays for Dutch side Vitesse.

Speaking from Harare, the coach told Sport24 that they want to make sure they have a strong team which can win at home and away.

Pasuwa said that they are talking to the teams to release their players, as the league is still going on.

"Yes we have a good team together for the game next week," Pasuwa said.

“We have already qualified for the All African Games, and now we want to qualify for the Olympics and to do that we need the best team.”

The first leg of these qualifiers will be played on July 19 in Zimbabwe with the return leg two weeks later.
