Mabizela's fate not yet known

Cape Town - Mpumalanga Black Aces defender Mbulelo Mabizela is yet to feature since his first game of the season, and it remains to be seen whether he has a future at the Premiership outfit or not.

According to the Football411 website, it is believed that the former Bafana Bafana captain was involved in a bust-up with head coach Clive Barker, and that Aces, like many clubs before them, have grown tired of Mabizela’s ill-discipline.

However Barker would not elaborate on the current situation.

"The management is handling the issue," says Barker. "I am not ready to talk about it."

The 34-year-old Mabizela joined Black Aces in 2013, initially on a short-term deal before later signing on for the 2014/15 campaign.

This is not the first time that disciplinary issues have threatened to derail Mabizela's career, with spells at Tottenham Hotspur, Mamleodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits all tainted by ill-discipline.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
