Cape Town - According to reports, Platinum Stars striker Ndumiso Mabena will undergo a scan to determine the
extent of a knee injury he sustained during the team's 1-0 Telkom Knockout win
over Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday.
Mabena was substituted in the second half after he had alerted the coaches to his pain and discomfort.
After the match, the former Orlando Pirates forward limped to the dressing room, occasionally stopping and placing his hands onto the injured left knee.
"I fell awkwardly and I could have stretched something on my knee," Mabena tells KickOff.com website.
"After that I could not balance properly or control the ball so I could not continue playing," he adds.
Dikwena coach Allan Freese hopes the injury is not serious.

"The doctors had a slight look at him after the match and noticed that
his knee was swelling. I hope it is nothing too serious but we will only know
after they do some scans on the knee," Freese says.
