Mabena: Senzo like a brother

Cape Town - An emotional Ndumiso Mabena has paid his respects to his former Orlando Pirates teammate Senzo Meyiwa.

Ndumiso Mabena, who joined Platinum Stars FC at the start of this season from Orlando Pirates FC was shuttered by the news according to Dikwena's website

“Senzo was a humble gentleman, a brother and someone you could rely on." said Mabena.

"I remember my days at Pirates when I first met him, he was always there to offer me guidance, and not only in the football field but personally.

"With the 5 years that I have played with him, I learnt respect, and that being humble will succeed one in life”.

"I was blessed to meet Senzo and play with him in the same club as he encouraged me to work hard in this field where one succeeds by being patient.

"It is indeed a very big loss for the nation and Orlando Pirates family. He taught me the culture at Pirates, and made me feel welcome.

"Meyiwa will be missed for his friendliness, and brotherly attitude he possessed. At that young age he had already achieved so much and his future was to shine, pity that is not going to happen anymore.

"May the good Lord bless his family and strengthen them in this difficult time.

"Senzo Robert “Xasillas” Meyiwa, my brother, may your soul rest in peace and you will always be loved.” said a grieving Mabena.
