MTN8 final heads to Durban

Johannesburg - The lucrative showpiece final of the MTN8 tournament will be hosted at Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium, the Premier Soccer League have revealed.

On Friday the league announced 'fruitful consultations' between the PSL's Cup Committee with all key stakeholders' led to the decision to take the showdown to KwaZulu-Natal's World Cup venue.

The winner of Kaizer Chiefs v Orlando Pirates and Ajax Cape Town v Moroka Swallows will compete in the R8m decider that is scheduled for Saturday October 2, with kick off at 20:15.

The Soweto giants played to a 1-1 draw in the first leg but Amakhosi have a small advantage owing to the away goal scored by Knowledge Musona.

Meanwhile, the tie between the Urban Warriors and the Beautiful Birds remains level after they played to a goalless draw last week.

Since the final will clash with PSL matches, the Cup Committee also confirmed the postponement of three Premiership matches next Wednesday involving the four semi-finalists.

These matches will be played by no later than 19 October 2010.
