Lupeta waiting for work permit

Cape Town - Bidvest Wits newly signed Portuguese striker Joaquim Lupeta is still waiting for his work permit, according to reports.

South African football lovers will have to wait for a while before they can see the 22-year-old strut his stuff on the field with Wits.

A source at the club said that the forward is still waiting for his permit from Home Affairs, and that's why he won't be playing for a while.

"He has signed for the team but for him to be registered with the PSL he needs to have his work permit and he doesn't have it yet," the source said.

"But as soon as he gets his work permit he will be available for selection.

"I can't say exactly how long it will take be case, sometimes it's just two weeks or even a month."
