Cape Town - Orlando Pirates captain Lucky Lekgwathi is hopeful that his side will come out an invigorated unit for Sunday’s clash with SuperSport United.

Bucs’ meeting with Matsatsantsa at the Peter Mokaba Stadium will be the second consecutive encounter between the two sides: the last time they met was in Pirates’ first match since the death of their goalkeeper and captain Senzo Meyiwa, with the Soweto side losing the Telkom Knockout match 2-0.

But now, with a two week international break behind them, Lekgwathi hopes his team-mates can reclaim their energy and focus as they take on SuperSport in Polokwane.

"We lost to SuperSport in the Telkom Knockout Cup, but now we have a chance to redeem ourselves by going to them and claim maximum points.

"The sad times we went through are now behind us and we are now looking to start winning matches again," the 38-year-old told his club’s website.
